My name is Sarah Walsh, and I am a clinician at Sydney Hospital Hand Unit currently undertaking a PhD focused on volar plate injuries to the PIPJ.As part of my PhD, I am conducting an international survey of Hand Therapists with the following aims:
To establish current preferred initial treatment approaches for managing acute volar plate injuries to the PIPJ.
To identify the key factors influencing clinical decision-making by Hand Therapists when treating these injuries.
I understand that the survey is only available in English, which may present a barrier to some participants. Nonetheless, I hope to foster broad international engagement.
